Mumbai, Apr 29: In a programme held in Mysore Association mini hall, Matunga east on Saturday evening, ‘Srajana’ group of female authors released ‘Savithri’ a book translated by Dr Girija Shastri from Marathi to Kannada.

Prahlad Divanji, the author of the book was present. The programme was chaired by veteran author, guide of Srajana Balaga, Dr Sunitha M Shetty.

Dr Sunitha Shetty introduced the book and commended the work. Critic, author, poetess, Savithri Kannada version translator Dr Girija Shastri said that she has the satisfaction of translating the book and expressed her gratitude to all those who helped her in the endeavor.

Srajana joint treasurer Anitha P Poojary Tokode, members Dr Mamatha Rao, Surekha H Devadiga, Dr Karunaker Shetty, Dr K Raghunath, Dr Vyasaraya Ninjoor, Gururaj N Nayak, Sudhaker Poojary, Narayan Rao, Dr G P Kusuma, Balachandra Devadiga, Bheemaraya Chilka, Vivek S Shanbhog and others were present.

Honorary treasurer Dr Dakshayani Yadahalli sang a prayer song. Srajana convener Meena Kalavara welcomed the gathering and presented an introduction. Akshatha Deshpande introduced the guests and compered the programme. Honorary secretary Hema Sadananda Ameen proposed the vote of thanks.
