Kaup: 25 Arrested on March 15 Released on Bail

Udupi, Apr 1: As many as 25 people belonging to a particular community, who had been arrested during the group clashes in Kaup on March 15, were released on bail here on Tuesday.

Advocate Mohammad Iqbal told The Hindu that the District and Sessions Court in Udupi had ordered their release on bail. He said that two adolescents (belonging to a particular community) had been released earlier by the Juvenile Court at Mangalore on bail. “All the 27 persons arrested during the Kaup group clashes have been released,”  Iqbal said.
