Udupi: St Mary’s English School’s Good Gesture towards School Transport Operators

St Mary’s English School here had recently organized a unique activity for the auto rickshaw, car, van drivers/owners, in recognition of their transport services to the students, on the occasion of silver jubilee celebrations of School.
 
School correspondent Fr Mathew Vas presided over the programme. 



Doddanagudde Dr A V Baliga Hospital psychiatrist Dr Virupaksha Devaramane was the chief guest.  Speaking at the occasion, Dr Devaramane emphasized the need for maintaining both physical and mental health, first aid and about adolescent behaviour.
 
The participants enjoyed a number of games and variety entertainment programmes.  The drivers who had lent their services since the beginning of the school to date were also honoured.
 
School head teacher Myrtle L F Lewis welcomed the gathering.

    This is very good programme. Drivers and passengers are equal partners in maintaining road discipline, accident free society. Well done St. Mary's School Udupi. Congratulations. Wish this school will conduct more and more similar type social awareness progarms.
