Mumbai: SSC students from Karjat will not lose extra marks: Vinod Tawde

Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai (SR)

Mumbai, May 4: Education Minister Vinod Tawde on Friday, assured that 50 SSC students from Karjat Education Society (KES) English Medium School will not lose their extra marks.

Fifty students at KES English Medium School have been left in the lurch as their proposals to get three to 15 bonus marks for participation in extra-curricular activities were not cleared by the board.

The students could not avail bonus marks for arts and culture because the school delayed sending the list of their details to the board.

The immediate decision was taken by the ministry after the students' parents on Thursday held a chain hunger strike in protest that lasted for a day.
