TNN

Belgaum, Apr 4: A Class 10 student Mahantesh Channannavar was stripped naked, tied to a flag pole and beaten on the high school premises of Sankaratti village in Athani taluk on Monday. School authorities suspected he was copying in the first language paper of the SSLC exam. Sub-inspector Dayanand Shegunsi told TOI that he was not aware of the incident.

He said he had been out of station on security duty. “A thorough investigation will be done, and the guilty will be punished,” he added.

I really feel pity for the school authorities, for they themselves proved uneducated by doing this act. If educational instituions can do this type of things then what a shame it is. Parents whose children are studying in this school should give a thought on this.

A very sad incident. School authorities can only stop him for appearing for the exams but not treat this way.

Disgusting. How can a school boy be treated like this. The school authorities should be punished. I agree copying is wrong but I totally disagree with this type of punishment.
