Kaup, May 17: A youth who was working to repair a well accidentally fell into it and lost his life. The incident happened at Bhaskar Nagar near Uchila here on Thursday May 16.
The deceased was Abdul Nassir (24), son of Hasainar, resident of Mullagudde on Uchila - Paniyoor Road. Nassir who used to do minor jobs and worked as coolie, was working to repair a well at Bhaskar Nagar along with his father on Thursday. When coming out of the well after finishing work, he lost his balance and fell down. He suffered serious injuries due to the fall. He was brought out immediately and admitted into a private hospital at Udupi. However, Nassir failed to respond to treatments and breathed his last.
A complaint about the incident was registered in Padubidri police station.
