Sullia, Apr 30: The Election Commission has filed a case against chief minister Yeddyurappa's joint secretary B G Nanda Kumar for his alleged election code violation. Hence, the chief minister must resign from his post, demanded Ramesh Chennitala, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president, speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday April 28.

The case against Nanda Kumar was filed for allegedly canvassing for the BJP candidate from Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency, he said.

The state government has not fulfilled the promises doled out by it during the last election and this election will act a warning bell to the party in power, he criticized.

Appealing the people to cast their votes to the Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha Congress Party candidate B Janardhana Poojary, he walked through the streets of Sampaje, Kallugundi and Aranthod villages.

Kerala Congress leaders like M K Raghavan and K P Dhanpalan, former MP Vinay Kumar Sorake, Bharat Mundody and T M Shahid were present at the press conference.
