Bangalore: Gowda, Son in Trouble for Violating Secrecy of Voting

Bangalore/Hassan, May 4:
JD (S) supremo H D Deve Gowda and his-MLA son H D Revanna landed in trouble for violating secrecy of voting. 

The deputy commissioner of Hassan and district electoral officer Naveen Raj Singh has directed the assistant electoral officer Kari Gowda to issue notices to Gowda and Revanna for violation of secrecy in polling station.

While Gowda exercised franchise along with wife Chennamma, Revanna was seen with wife Bhavani at the time of voting during second phase of Lok Sabha polls on April 30. Both the incidents occurred in polling booth number 27 in Paduvalahippe situated in Holenarsipur.

Apart from leaders, notices will also be served to presiding officer, booth level officer, first and second polling officers attached to the Paduvalahippe polling station.

Speaking to The Times of India Navin Raj Singh said the matter has been brought to the notice of chief electoral officer. "I was busy with supervising and sealing EVMs for the last two days. I will look into the matter once this necessary work is completed," Singh said.
