Karkala, May 5: St Thomas English Medium High School, Alangar in the taluk, has bagged cent percent results, in the recently held SSLC examinations, for the fifth year in succession.


Joslita Rebello (597 marks out of 625)

Out of 66 students of the school who appeared for the examination, 12 passed with distinction, 43 with first class, seven in second class and four in third class. 
 
Joslita Rebello topped the marks tally, scoring 597 out of the total of 625 marks.  She is an all rounder, having represented St Thomas School in the state-level hockey and hurdles. She also bagged many trophies in district-level sports including the 100 metre and 200 metre races.  She is the daughter of Joseph Rebello and Gretta Mendonca of St Ignatius Loyola parish, Paladka.
