Mangalore: St Aloysius College Introduces Computer Animation Courses

Mangalore, May 9: St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangalore is introducing two Computer Animation courses at the under graduate level, from this academic year.

Though there are a few diploma or certificate courses are available in Mangalore in animation, this is the first time a well organized and systematic animation degree course offered anywhere in the Mangalore University area, according to the press release from the college.

The animation course has two streams - the B.Sc. Computer Animation Science course is offered with Physics and Mathematics. Those with science subject in PUC are eligible to take this course. In Arts the stream, Computer Animation is offered with Journalism Major and English literature. For this, students with any steam (Arts, Commerce, Science)  in PUC are eligible to apply, said the release.

In today’s technology-driven world, computer animation offers plenty of opportunities in the job market. Film industry, mass media, advertising, and other entertainment industries have been on the look out for trained work force in computer animation, but are running short of personnel. Hence, this course aims at providing job opportunities to the young minds with hands-on experience.
