Mangaluru: Green Colour Day observed at Valencia kindergarten

Mangaluru, Jun 28: The little kids of St Vincent Ferrer Kindergarten dressed in green colour celebrated Green Colour Day on Thursday, June 27.

The main aim of this celebration was to bring awareness among the little ones how to make environment eco-friendly by planting trees and how to save nature.

Fr James D'Souza addressed the gathering. He said, “The importance of growing trees and the steps that should be taken to nurture the plants and trees of our surroundings and make our surroundings full of greenery.”



After the short programme, parish priest Fr James D’Souza, assistant parish priest Fr Joswin D’Souza, and parish council vice president Anil Lobo planted a sapling each. Later, the kids, teachers and parents also joined in and planted saplings.
