Udupi, Jun 29: Kadike Trust which is working towards the revival of Udupi Sarees honoured Ananda Shettigar, a weaver of Talipady Weavers Society by conferring 'Uttama Nekara’ award on him on Friday, June 28.

Shettigar is weaving the famous Udupi sarees for the past 47 years with utmost dedication and passion in spite of all odds of the ailing Udupi saree industry.



Office bearers of Kadike Trust and Talipad Weavers Society, weavers and well-wishers were present.
