Sullia, Jun 29: Umesh (47) from Jalyaru Addabail in Panja, who suffered serious injuries after the auto rickshaw he was driving overturned after it was hit by a car on Thursday, succumbed to his injuries on Friday June 28. This accident had happened near Hale Gate here.
Umesh had suffered deep gash on his head due to the accident. He was initially admitted into the government hospital in the town. For advanced treatment, he was taken to Puttur hospital. At night, he was referred to a hospital at Mangaluru. But he did not respond to treatments and breathed his last.
In the said accident, Umesh's wife too had been injured. She is recovering, it is learnt.
A case about this accident was registered in the local police station.
