Bantwal, Jun 29: In a tragic incident that occurred at Kalkaje of Kolnad village near here, one labourer died and another injured when the shovel which they were using, to unload the coconut husk powder from a truck, touched the high tension wire that was above the truck.

Vasudeva Prabhu (50), a resident of Panja, is the unfortunate victim, who lost his life in this mishap. Sujit (20), a native of Orissa is admitted to a hospital at Deralakatte in Mangaluru.

The truck of Badiyadkka origin, had brought coconut husk powder from Nileshwar in Kerala to the poultry farm of Narayana Naika at Kalkaje.
