Mangaluru, Jul 1: St Vincent Ferrar Church, Valencia celebrated ‘Van Mahotsav’ on Sunday, Jun 30. The programme was organised by ICYM unit of the parish in support to the initiative taken by Mangaluru diocese on the theme 'Laudato Si’.
Saplings were planted in the church cemetery.
The first sapling was planted by ICYM unit president Jovita Rebello, followed by ICYM members, parish clergy and a group of parishioners.
Parish priest Fr James D’Souza, assistant parish priest Fr Joswin D’Souza, resident priest Fr Arun Lobo, parish council vice president Anil Lobo, ICYM president Jovita Rebello, members and few parishioners were present for the programme.
