Bantwal: Water conservation, revival, planting of saplings held at Mahalaxmi temple Manila

Vitla, Jul 1: A programme of water conservation, revival and planting of saplings was held under the leadership of gram panchayats and religious leaders here.

Manila gram panchayat, Peruvayi gram panchayat, Sridhama Manila Mahalaxmi Seva Pratistana, Muchirapadav Fatima Mother Church, Kukkaje Kalikamba Anjaneya temple, Peruvayi Juma Masjid, Mangaluru Aloysius College and local groups took part.

Mahalaxmi temple, Manila, Mohandas Paramahamsa Swamy, Muchirapadav Fatima Mother Church priest Fr Vishal Monis and Peruvayi Juma Masjid’s Mohammed Sharif Madani planted saplings and set the programme in motion.

Manila temple priest said that loving the holy books of every religion has human value in it. “There is scarcity of water in the world. Therefore, conservation of water is necessary. Panchayats should be models in this direction,” he said.



Fr Vishal Monis said that there is no difference of religions in five elements. “Nature’s equilibrium is lost due to human stupidity and excesses. Therefore, nature should be preserved,” he said.

Peruvayi Juma Masjid’s Mohammed Sharif said that water is essential for human survival. “Therefore, its conservation is our duty,” he said. St Aloysius College students joined hands in the programme. Saplings were planted near Manila Sridhama road and beside Kalikamba temple road. The water revival unit was installed in the borewell near Manila gram panchayat and Peruvayi gram panchayat office.

Manila gram panchayat president Rajesh Kumar Balekallu, gram panchayat president Ralph D’Souza, St Aloysius College’s Kiran, Philomena and Manila gram panchayat development office Ashok were present.

    3 sides oceans set up desalination plants with : Korean: japanese: german collaborations if need be.
