Karkala, Jul 3: Journalist R B Jagadish who served effectively in the sectors of print, photography, web and journalism for the last 25 years was presented state level Hoogar media award for 2019 in Bengaluru by Bengaluru’ journalist’s forum on June 1.
Kannada Sahitya Parishat state president Manu Baligar who inaugurated the programme, presented awards to 21 journalists from various districts and honored them.
“Kannada land and language are getting encouragement as the media is fulfilling its responsibility properly. Identifying journalists from villages and taluk level and felicitating them is commendable,” he said.
Journalist’s forum state president Mahesh Babu Surve, Udupi district president Shekar Ajekar, Bagalkote Siddashram’s Madulinga Maharaj and Y Manjunath were present.
