Mangaluru, Jul 3: A conference of journalists in the district was held at Kudmul Rangarao auditorium here.

Senior journalists Malar Jayaram Rai, Manohar Prasad, Chidambar Baikampady, K Anand Shetty, Gangadhar Matty, Hilary Crasta, Viju Poonacha, Jagannath Shetty Bala, P B Hariprasad Rai, Balakrishna Puthige, Suresh Belagaje, U K Kumarnath, Keshava Kunder, I B Sandeep Kumar, Navujire, R N Poovani, Damodar Shettigar, Srivallabi, Gangadhar Piliyoor, Raymond D’ Cunha, Dhananjay Moodbidri, B S Kulal, Manjunath Rai, photographer Chandrahas Kotekar, Annu Mangaluru, Sudhaker Ermal, Dayanand Payyade and Ramachandra Bhat were felicitated on the occasion.

Conference president, veteran journalist Ishwar Daidota, retired university chancellor and author Dr B A Vivek Rai, Manngaluru University chancellor professor P S Yadapadittaya, Mangaluru police commissioner Sandeep Patil, Karnataka working journalist’s association president Shivananda Tagadoor, B A Khader Shah, association district president Srinivas Nayak Indaje, convener Jagannath Shetty Bala, chief secretary Ibrahim Adkastala and others were present.
