Kundapur, Jul 3: “Hindu organization activists have not assaulted any policemen in the country so far. They have not killed soldiers in the country also,” said Vishwa Hindu Parishad local province head Katkere Premananda Shetty.

He was speaking in the mass protests against cattle thefts and cattle slaughter held by Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and Hindu Jagarana Vedike in front of taluk panchayat office here on Wednesday, July 3.

“The Hindu organizations are serving the country with the slogan ‘Sarve Jana Sukhino Bhavantu’. But cows, one of their deities are being stolen everywhere and slaughtered. Police should consider the violations seriously,” he warned the police.

HP Kundapur unit president Vijayakumar Goliangadi said that cattle traffic is in progress uninterrupted. “It has given rise to communal conflicts and revenge. It is unfortunate that cattle are being stolen without permission and hindrance. Violent protests will be help if the concerned people do not take action,” he said.

“The land meant for pasture should be identified and cattle should be allowed to graze there. Families whose cattle were stolen should be suitably compensated and stern action should be taken against the thieves,” urged the protesters.

Bajrang Dal convener Sudheer Merdi, HJV taluk secretary Sampath Kumar, RSS national executive member Subrahmanya Holla, Girish Kundapur, Surendra Markodu, Shanker Kota, Vasu Gangolli and others were present.
