Bengaluru: Inability to uphold coalition's aspirations - Vishwanath holds Siddhu, CM responsible

Bengaluru, Jul 4: H Vishwanath, who has resigned from the post of the president of the state unit of the JD(S), said at New Delhi that Karnataka suffers from anarchy because of the failure of the chairman of the government's coordination committee, Siddaramaiah, and chief minister, Siddaramaiah, to uphold the aspirations of the coalition. At the same time, he felt that BJP will not topple the government, but the legislators themselves are ready to engineer its downfall.

Speaking to media persons on Wednesday July 3, he felt that both the Congress and the JD(S) have not made any honest efforts to make the experiment of coalition government successful by exhibiting political dexterity. "None of the parties are working for addressing the problems faced by the people. No one in the government is working with total dedication. Siddaramaiah has lost his love for the government. The fact that Karnataka politics is heading towards chaos hurts me. The leaders in the coalition government are not inclined to listen to problems faced by their MLAs and solve them. Therefore, BJP need not topple the government. We ourselves are ready to fall down," he said sarcastically.

He said that he is afraid that the state is losing out. He felt that Siddaramaiah and Kumaraswamy should act responsibility. He also pointed out that Siddaramaiah had not included him to the coordination committee because of personal enmity. He felt that mixing personal enmity to state development is not right.

During his stay at Delhi, Vishwanath met several BJP MPs apart from Congress MP, D K Suresh, independent MP, Sumalatha etc. He said that politics and friendship are altogether separate issues and that meeting BJP leaders does not mean that he is joining that party. "If I go to BJP, I will give information to everyone concerned beforehand," he assured.
