Kundapur: Bike hits cow sleeping on road - Pillion rider dies

Kundapur, Jul 4: In a tragic accident, a bike with two people hit a cow sleeping on the road and subsequently an electric pole before falling on the road. The pillion rider who was seriously injured in the accident succumbed to his injuries in the hospital here.

The incident has happened at Arehole in Byndoor police station limits. The deceased is identified as Rajasthan based worker Gopal(32). He was travelling as pillion rider in the bike belonging to Hamza. The bike rider without noticing a cow sleeping on the road at night, hit the bike against it.

The bike which lost control hit the electric pole beside the road and fell down going a little further. Though Gopal was rushed to the hospital, he died without responding to treatment. The bike rider has escaped with minor injuries. A case is registered in Bayandoor police station.

    very sad.what about the cow ?is it injured or safe?One has to be ready for a strike or press conference tomorrow against bike rider.But not dead person.are cows still on roads?no wonder people are stealing cows.May the soul of deceased eprson rest in peace.did they not have any light at night?
