Daijiworld Media Network - Sullia (SP)

Sullia, Jul 5: Due to heavy rain which drenched Yedakumeri, Siribagilu and Sakleshpur sections of the Western Ghats, mud got deposited on the railway tracks near Siribagilu on Thursday July 4.

As a result, the afternoon train between Mangaluru and Mangaluru was stopped at around 2.45 pm. Railway staff worked hard in spite of rain and cleared the mud which was heaped on the tracks.

The train was thereafter allowed to move on the tracks with a delay of about two hours.
