Kundapur: Youths rescue two sea turtles stuck in fishing net

Kundapur, Jul 5: Two sea turtles which had come to the sea shore in sea waves were found stuck inside a fishing net thrown at sea shore near Padukere school, Kota Manur on Friday morning, July 5. While the turtles were trying unsuccessfully to come out from the net, four youths from Kota rescued them.

Sudhaker Bangera, Abhishek Bangera, Adarsh and Anand Haladi who were walking and speaking while on a stroll at the sea shore, saw movements in the heap of fishing net at the shore. When they went close, they saw two turtles stuck in the net and struggling to come out from it. They immediately opened the net, rescued the turtles and left them back in the sea.

Local youths had also rescued a sea turtle in Beejadi on Wednesday.
