Bengaluru: Minister Zameer appears before ED, furnishes documents

Bengaluru, Jul 6: Minister for food and civil supplies, B Z Zameer Khan, presented himself in the presence of enforcement directorate (ED) officials on Friday July 5 and furnished documents.

Zameer went to the ED office along with his lawyer on Friday afternoon. The officials questioned him for 90 minutes on his links with IMA jewellery scamster, Mansoor Khan, to whom Zameed allegedly had sold certain land. Sources said that during the questioning, some important information came out.

Minster, Zameer Ahmed, speaking to media persons later, said that the ED had sought sale deed relating to sale of site to the scam-accused in 2018 and that he had provided documentary proof relating to the transaction. He said he also provided documents relating to income tax returns submitted and documents provided to the Lokayukta. "The ED officials thought that I had not shown the site dealings anywhere, but their doubts were cleared after I produced documents," he explained.

Zameer on this occasion expressed his ire against BJP leader, N R Ramesh, who had made allegation against him.
