Four Udupi based authors presented Kannada Sahitya Parishad awards

Udupi, Jul 16: Kannada Sahitya Parishad presented their awards at a programme held at Krishnaraj auditorium of the parishad in Bengaluru recently.

Dr Manu Baligar chaired the programme. Director of the department of Kannada and culture, K M Janaki presented the awards.

Four authors from Udupi were selected for the awards.

Dr Mahabaleshwar Rao was presented late Dr A S Dharanendrayya Memorial Award for the work ‘Keelarimeyannu Metti Nulluvudu Hege?’; Dr Niketan’s ‘Bogaseyalli Sagara’ bagged international woman’s award for the year; Gangadhar Aithal’s ‘Makkaligagi Khagola Vijnyana’ was selected for G P Rajarathnam award and Amshu Samhit’s ‘Candle Doll’ was awarded Sisu Sangamesh award.
