Bantwal, Jun 9: The news that the western range inspector general of police Gopal B Hosur has made a firm resolve to initiate lasting measures to find a permanent solution to the frequent communal disturbances and frictions taking places in the twin-districts for flimsy reasons, has sent shivers down the spines of mischief-mongers who used to get satisfaction by fomenting trouble and then enjoying the aftermath from a distance. It is learnt, that the policemen, after an elaborate exercise, have prepared a list of 110 communal elements from within Bantwal town police limits and 140 more from the rural police station limits.

Out of them, two Hinduist bullies and eight Muslims were summoned to the police station to prepare elaborate files on them including photographs, videography, thumb impressions etc. Besides, their passport numbers are being sent to Bangalore and New Delhi to ensure that they do not flee the country after inciting trouble here.

A team formed under the guidance of superintendent of police Dr A Subrhamanyeshwar Rao, led by Puttur assistant superintendent of police Chandragupta has been on the job since the last three days. Circle inspector K Nanjunde Gowda said that the department has been contemplating actions like registering of cases against a few of them under the Goonda Act, seeking their externment etc.

At the same time, the businessmen, general public and the policemen who were facing the risk of being transferred on one pretext or the other, hope that the above actions will ensure peace and stability and give them some peace of mind. It is learnt, the list includes names of people from the town, in addition to Farangipet, Maripalla, Amemar, Nettarakere, Shanti Angadi, Goodinabali and Kalladka.

It is a very good move from the police dept, all the people know the goonda''s, these are the same people looking for oppurtunity to loot and create trouble.Public support is a must, police must be very friendly with the public. They should remember that they are there to serve the public. Once the public feel confident with the police then every one will approach them in confidence and report the crimes.

Great news, I.G. Hosur Sir, kindly extend this exercise in our Twin District to other hot spots too. These Communal Bullies must be castrated effectively without giving any chance to their political Boss''s interference.

A good work and must be supported by all communities and it is really appreciated. The need of hour is peace and communual harmony. Though the twin districts are inhabitated mainly by hindu, muslim and christian followers. Hardly there is any communual tension involving most peace loving christian community. Yet they are disturbed !. Those who are responisble for communual hatred, be it a muslim or hindu, as we see their participation in these tensions, must be punished with hardest punishment. These are anti social and disgrace to humanity. I feel these anti social elements who are bent upon deviding the society on communual lines must be sent to Andaman islands not to return. Such tough measure by the police and local authorities would definitely restore the lost glory of twin districts provided there is no political interference. We need peace and tranquility and we the people of this coastal districts carry the same identity, culture, vlaues and we are one. There is no place for one who devides us. We are proud to be children of tuluva soil and we definitely dont differentiate on communual lines.
