Mangalore: Student Crushed under Lorry Wheels

Mangalore, Jun 19: In a gory accident that occurred in front of Kilpady gram panchayat office near Mulky, a student, who was travelling on the back seat of a bicycle, was crushed under the rear wheels of a truck. The student fell down after the vehicle hit the bicycle and came directly under its rear wheels. The lorry was carrying a load of boulders.

Shahid was a second pre-university class student of the government PU College Mulky. He was the son of Sharif, a resident of K S Rao Nagar and was taking a ride on the bicycle of his friend and classmate Punit Acharya, when tragedy struck. The father of the deceased boy works in the Gulf. He was the youngest of two daughters and two sons.

The college declared holiday as a mark of respect for the deceased. Mulky policemen have arrested the truck driver.
