Mangalore, Jun 19: "Knowledge of computers is very essential in the twenty first century and let this computer academy serve as a boon to improve IT skills for the students", said Roy Castelino, proprietor, Roy Constructions.
 
He was speaking at the inaugural of new computer academy at St Joseph’s English Medium High School, Kulshekar, here on Thursday January 18.
 

Diocesan Christian Lawyers’ Guild president M P Noronha, in his chief guest’s address, called upon the students to improve their computer skills.  ‘Those with no computer knowledge are looked upon as illiterates in spite of having degree certificates.’ he said.
 
Meanwhile, Noronha also appealed the students not to be glued to the computer at all times, instead be creative and active in extra curricular activities along with the studies. 
 
Diocesan vicar general Monsignor Denis Moras Prabhu, in his presidential address, said that the School that was set up 7 years ago has been achieving cent percent results throughout.  All those students who pass out from the School should serve the society in whatever way they can, once they are employed, he urged.
