Media Release

Mangaluru, Aug 17: As our three western coastal states battered devastating floods, Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre and the student council of Medical College decided to extend their helping hand toward north Karnataka flood victims.

Srinivas Medical College Council actively involved last year in Kodagu and Kerala flood relief work. This time, two doctors were sent on August 10 to assess the flood situation and prepare the logistics.

The college students and staff members supported the victims by donating food material, medicines and monitory support.

Collected material and funds were sent through doctors working on the field since five days to distribute wherever it is required.

The service from the team was immensely appreciated by the local organization and people were benefited in Belgaum district.

Even today, two doctors are stationed at Belgaum to coordinate supply and distribution of required relief material.
