Udupi: Sandalwood Smuggling – Three Arrested

Udupi, Jun 22: In an operation undertaken on Saturday June 20 late night, the forest officials have arrested three smuggling sandalwood at Holebagilu, Perdoor under Hebri forest limits near here. A total of 15 kgs of sandalwood pieces and a car worth Rs 2 lakh they were too traveling has been seized.    

The arrested have been identified as Shridhar Shetty from Nitte, Umesh from Kanajar and Shekar from Nakre. Apart from sandalwood pieces, three kgs of splinters were also seized.

The three arrested have been produced before the Udupi court.

    Mr.Shahnawaz You are absolutely right. I am totally agreeing with you. But atleast you should see the percentage people commiting crimes as per population counted. (if required in india or whole world).Come with correct statistics.

    Why not shown the photos of smugglers along with booty? Why shown the photo of idol theif along with booty? Do we have double standards in publishing the same acts committed by the people belonging to different communities. Do I have to prove again that criminals dont belong to one particular community??
