Kaup branch of DK District Cooperative Bank shifted

Kaup, Aug 27: “Cooperative organizations are converted as people’s banks due to their people friendly service. The Dakshina Kannada district cooperative bank which has completed 106 years functions successfully with 105 branches. New well equipped branches will be opened as there is demand for another 10 branches,” said D K district cooperative bank president Dr M N Rajendra Kumar.

He was speaking after presiding over the programme held on the eve of shifting of Kaup branch of the bank to Narayanaguru complex, Kaup on Monday, August 26.

MLA Lalaji R Mendon speaking after inaugurating the branch commended the performance and service of the bank.



Former minister Vinaykumar Sorake said that the bank has become armour for villagers as it serves all categories of people.

Kaup Hosamarigudi temple development committee president K Vasudev Shetty inaugurated the office of the branch and wished well.

Madhava R Palan, Kaup Stree Shakthi self-help group cooperative society president Shobha Poojarthi, Kaup Billavara Sangha president Vikram Kaup, Pravin B Nayak, Jayakar Shetty Indrali, SCDCC Bank chief executive Ravindra B, director Bhasker S Kotian, M Vadiraja Shetty, Shashikumar Rai and others were present.

Five Navodaya self-help groups were inaugurated and Chaitanya cheques were issued to six people. Kaup Billavara sangha president Vikram Kaup, branch manager Prabhod Chandra were felicitated. Bank officials Nithyananda Sherigar, Balakrishna Bhat, Navodaya Group’s Harinath, Anitha, Pigmy collector Dhananjay, Devaraj, and Bhaskar Kumar were honoured.

SCDCC Bank director Aikalabava Dr Deviprasad Shetty welcomed. Director Rajesh Rao Pangala rendered vote of thanks. Waltson D’Sa compered the programme.
