Bangalore: HR Centres in Three Districts Including Mangalore Soon

Bangalore, Jun 30: State will set up human resource (HR) centres instead of employment exchanges. Labour department is working on these lines, said labour minister B N Bachche Gowda.

Disclosing this decision of the department to media persons on Monday June 29 the minister said that the HR centres will first come up in Mangalore, Bijapur and Gulbarga, which will be later extended to other districts of the state. The proposed HR centres will also provide information on employment opportunities. Moreover, information on human resource will also be made available to the companies. The work will be undertaken through public-private partnership, he said.

Further, national health scheme to provide health assistance to over 3.81 lac families of labourers will be launched in Dakshina Kannada, Belgaum, Shimoga, Mysore and Bangalore rural on an experimental basis. A programme to provide social security to unorganized labourers in Dakshina Kannada, Bangalore, Mysore, Bellary and Gulbarga in association with German Technical Cooperation will be implemented whereby such labourers will be provided with pension, health insurance, accident insurance and accommodation facilities, minister said.
