Puttur: Theft in jewellery store at Uppinangady - Three being questioned

Puttur, Sep 7: The police, who are investigating a case of theft in jewellery worth about eleven lac rupees on August 16 this year, have reportedly got a good lead. The said theft had happened at R K Jewellers located near the government model school, Uppinangady.

It is said that based on the lead, the police have rounded up three persons who are now being interrogated.

The police initially got confirmation that the thieves involved with theft were from outside Karnataka. They conducted operations in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh states and succeeded in taking three persons into custody. It is said that even an Eicher truck used during the theft has been seized.
