Kundapur, Sep 7: National highway awareness committee urged Navyug company manager at Sastan toll gate on Friday to solve the problems of potholes due to inferior quality work on national highway from Udupi to Kundapur, vacate parking of heavy vehicles across toll gate, problem of high mast light on the highway and other problems.

Huge Lorries are parked near toll gate. Street lights do not light up. RTO vehicle is parked near toll gate. Accidents have increased as a result. Is there no value for human lives? An Act is created for everything else. Is there nobody among you who can solve these problems? We will not remain quiet if the situation continues,” they said to toll in charge Keshavamurthy. “You will see the consequences if we get down to protests.”

Keshavamurthy who listened to them, said that the problems will be solved in stages. But awareness committee which did not agree gave him a deadline to solve all the problems within a week. Awareness committee’s Airodi Vittal Poojary, Prashanth Shetty, Shamsunder Nayiri, Alwyn Andre, Dinesh Ganiga, Sandeep Kunder, Nagaraj Ganiga, Nagaraj Putran, Govinda Poojary, Sahadev Poojary, Raghavendra Kunder Giliyar, Suresh Giliyar, Shiva Poojary and others were present.
