Udupi, Sep 7: Udupi MLA K Raghupathi Bhat accompanied by deputy commissioner visited the spot where a house and property was damaged due to heavy rain in Kenjur village, Kaltur gram panchayat limits yesterday. He had inspected the damage and asked officials to provide compensation. He has gone to the place again today and handed over the cheques of compensation to the victims.

Brahmavar tahsildar Gorayya, BJP rural president Pratap Hegde Maralli, local district panchayat members, Taluk panchayat members, gram panchayat members and party members were present. Kenjur residents, natural disaster victims Kamala Kulal, Narasimha Kulal and Ammanni Kulal were handed over cheques of Rs 95,100 each as first installment of compensation.
