Mangaluru, Sep 9: Ashok (24) from Moodigere, who was working as animal caretaker in the zoo of Pilikula Nisargadhama, committed suicide in his residential quarters on Sunday September 8 morning.
Ashok was serving Pilikula Nisargadhama since the last some years. It is said that Ashok's friend had seen him speaking at his residential quarters over his mobile phone at around 6 am on Sunday. But at around 8.20 pm, it was seen that Ashok had hanged himself from the ceiling fan of his house.
A case of unnatural death was registered in this connection in Kavoor police station.
