Davanagere, Sep 11: MLA and political secretary to Karnataka chief minister, M P Renukacharya, said that Congress leaders are devising ways and means to make sure that Shivakumar, who is already in trouble, gets trapped in the quicksand of problems further.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, September 11, Renukacharya noted that Shivakumar happens to be the most influential and efficient leader of Congress party. "The Congress leaders want to make sure that Shivakumar misses out on being made the state Congress president, or the leader of the opposition in the assembly. In the guise of holding protests against his arrest, his partymen have been fomenting trouble for him," he analyzed.

He reminded the Congress leaders that the Supreme Court has issued instructions against organizing bandhs and holding protests. "Are Congress leaders unaware of this order? They bring innocent and uninformed people to take part in the protest and torch public and private. property. Because of these leaders, those who indulge in vandalism get trapped in trouble. Do the Congress leaders not know whether the police book Siddaramaiah and Dinesh Gundu Rao or the people involving with the disturbance when protests are held? Congress protest is not against the central government but the judiciary. On account of their protests, the problems of Shivakumar will only multiply, and legal problems will increase," he predicted.
