Kasargod: Fishing boat capsizes - One missing, nine swim to safety

Kasargod, Sep 14: A person went missing while nine others escaped to safety after a fishing boat capsized on Friday, September 13 morning. The incident happened at the sea near Bekal Pallikere.

Dasan (57) from Keeyur went missing. Out of the nine who survived the ordeal, four were reportedly admitted into a hospital here and treated.

The boat was returning to the shore after its fishing trip when it rocked reportedly due to huge waves. Although the other fishermen in the boat swam to the shore with difficulty, Dasan did not reach the shore.

Fire brigade, police personnel, and fishermen have been searching for the missing fisherman, it is gathered.
