M'luru: Procession on Oct 2 to mark 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi - Harish Kumar

Mangaluru, Sep 27: On the eve of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a procession will be taken out on October 2, informed district congress president Harish Kumar.

Addressing media here on Friday, September 27, Harish Kumar said, "A procession will be carried out from Karavali Utsava ground to Town hall. Leaders from Congress will take part in the procession where they will be holding a flag consisting of charaka. After conclusion of the procession a talk on the life of Mahatma Gandhiji and bhajan on Gandhiji will be held at town hall.”

"Mahatma Gandhi fought for the Indian Independence; we are in situation where Mahatma Gandhi is sidelined. We should remember Gandhiji when some are going against our constitution,” said Harish Kumar.

MLC Ivan D’Souza, former MLA Mohiudeen Bava, Sadashiv Ullal, Naveen D’Souza and others were present.
