Mangaluru: St Joseph Vaz deanery youth venerate Synod Cross

Mangaluru, Sep 30: It was an awesome experience for all the youth of St Joseph Vaz deanery (Mangaluru south) as they venerated the Youth Synod Cross for ten days at Eliyarpadav.

A large number of youth on September 29 gathered to hand over the cross for its onward journey to Bantwal deanery. The event was meticulously planned and superbly organised by Eliyarpadhav parishioners, Fr Gilbert D'Souza, the parish priest and youth of south deanery.



As the procession moved on Bantwal roads there was a display of great faith, grandeuer and spiritual nourishment. The overwhelming support of the deanery youth showed great respect to the Synod cross. Fr J B Saldanha, dean, Fr Gilbert D'Souza, parish priest Eliyarpadav, Fr Michel D'Souza, Kishor D'Souza - President St Joseph Vaz deanery, Jovita D'Souza - Secretary, St Joseph Vaz deanery and youth of 10 parishes were present.
