Mangaluru, Oct 1: With condition of several city deteriorating day by day, a group of like-minded citizens conducted a silent protest outside Mangaluru City Corporation on Monday, September 30.

The protest was aimed to make the concerned authorities aware about the dilapidated roads and the challenges faced by people while travelling on them.

Mangaluru recently witnessed heavy rainfall and water logging was a common issue in the city. After the rains, potholes have appeared on the roads, which are creating hindrance to two-wheeler riders, motorists and pedestrians.

A memorandum was submitted to the DC and the commissioner of MCC. The citizens were assured that the work will be carried out as soon as possible. The active citizens told the authorities that they will follow up on the issue, until the roads are repaired.
