Bengaluru, Oct 4: V P Ikkeri, additional secretary in the chief minister's secretariat, has been transferred on account of complaints from BJP legislators.

After the previous JD(S) - Congress coalition government crashed, chief minister, BS Yediyurappa, replaced all the officials in his secretariat. He had appointed V P Ikkeri, who was then working as Bengaluru Metropolitan Region Development Authority (BMRDA) commissioner, and as additional secretary in his secretariat.

It is said that several BJP legislators complained to the chief minister, charging Ikkeri of not responding to their requirements and their works getting delayed because of him. As such, Ikkeri is transferred back as the commissioner of BMRDA.
