Bagalakote, Oct 4: The police escort vehicle meant for security of chief minister B S Yediyurappa who was to go to Belagavi district on tour toppled near Kappalaguddi cross, Saidapur, Bagalakote district on Friday, October 4. Three people including a police sub inspector were injured in the incident.

The injured were Ilakal station PSI Kumar Hedekar, driver Shivananda and constable Manjunath. They were admitted to a local hospital and treated.

The police had gone for rehearsal in view of chief minister’s arrival in Belagavi. The vehicle lost control of the driver, entered a sugarcane field and toppled.

CM B S Yediyurappa will be in the town to conduct ground breaking for houses being built for flood victims there.
