Brahmavar: Man who set himself ablaze succumbs in hospital

Brahmavar, Oct 5: A person, who had torched himself and suffered grave burn injuries, breathed his last at a hospital on Thursday October 3. He was Ravi (24) from Laxminagara, Uppoor near here.

Ravi had poured kerosene on his body and torched himself on Wednesday night. He was immediately taken to the district hospital at Udupi. From there, he was shifted to Wenlock Hospital at Mangaluru where his end came on Thursday afternoon.

Reportedly Ravi had been addicted to liquor consumption and therefore had lost control over his mind.

A case relating to the incident was registered in Brahmavar police station.
