Karkala: Nandalike Abbanadka Friends Club holds cleanliness programme

Karkala, Oct 5: “Cleanliness should begin from our homes. If our houses and surroundings are clean, the mind remains clean. Let us offer homage to Mahatma Gandhi who taught us lessons on cleanliness by cleaning our environment,” said president of Abbanadka Friends Club, Abbanadka Sathish Poojary.

He was speaking after setting in motion a cleanliness programme as part of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation.

Trash, plastic, bottles and other waste material were removed in the vicinity of the bus stand and both sides of the road.



Club convener Abbanadka Sandeep V Poojary, former president Nandalike Rajesh Kotian, vice president Balakrishna Madivala, secretary Prashanth Poojary, joint secretary Sandhya Shetty, ladies wing secretary Veena Poojary, members Lalitha Acharya, Leela Poojary, Pushpa Kulal, Sunita Pinto and others were present.
