Mangaluru, Oct 8: With an aim to promote healthy living, the IndiGo Airlines Mangaluru team has installed a RO water purifier in Bajpe bus stand.

The team with its donation aims to benefit all people who use Bajpe bus stand or work in the surrounding areas.

“Mangaluru is prone to diseases such as Malaria and Dengue. Many have lost their lives due to the dreaded diseases. Many a time, we noticed people in Bajpe area drinking non-purified water. This can lead to various health issues. With our donation, we aim to promote healthy living,” says a Team IndiGo member.

The team is also thankful to the Panchayat members for providing water connection and electricity which is needed for the functioning of water purifier.

To ensure that there is round the clock supply of water to the purifier, a 500 litre water tank has also been installed. Hence, even if water stops for a few hours, the water supply won’t be affected.

The purifier was inaugurated by people working in Bajpe area such as auto rickshaw and taxi drivers, bus agents and panchayat members.
