Mangaluru, Oct 9: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Permannur unit organised a blood donation camp on the occasion of its golden jubilee in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Mangaluru city, Sadbhavana Vedike Ullal, Indian Red Cross Society Mangaluru on October 6 at Holy Angels School hall Permannur.
Sushmitha and team invoked God’s blessings by a prayer song. Dailesh Dsouza, vice president, ICYM Permannur welcomed the gathering.
Fr Dr J B Saldanha, parish priest, St Sebastian Church Permannur, Fr Santhosh Dsouza, assistant parish priest, St Sebastian Church Permannur, Sheldon Crasta, president, Rotaract Club of Mangaluru, Sadanandha Bangera, Sadbhavana Vedhike Ullal,Melwin C Dsouza, vice president, St Sebestian Church Permannur, Ronald Fernandes, secretary, St Sebestian Church Permannur, Sr Sevrene Fernandes, Bethel Convent superior and ICYM Permannur animator, Deril Dsouza, animator, ICYM Permannur, and Jovita Rosy Dsouza, secretary, ICYM south deanery were the dignitaries present for the programme.
The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais. Praveen, district coordinator, Indian Red Cross society explained the importance of blood donation. Sheldon Crasta conducted the felicitation programme to Vikram Cutinha who donated blood for 100th time. Fr Dr J B Saldanha and Sheldon Crasta addressed the gathering.
All the dignitaries on the dais were presented with the memento as a token of gratitude. Ten members of ICYM Permannur unit as well as more than 50 members donated the blood. Velita Dsouza, secretary, ICYM Permannur, rendered the vote of thanks. Roshni Apos compered the programme.
