Beltangady, Oct 10: A woman from Dharmasthala has lodged dowry harassment complaint against her husband and his parents.
The complainant happens to be Malashree (24), wife of Mohan from Pangala in Dharmasthala village. Malashree said that her husband, supported by his parents, has been mentally and physically torturing her.
The police have registered a case against Mohan Gowda, husband of Malashree, his mother, Bommi, and father, Balakrishna Gowda. She said that Mohan Gowda and his parents often picked up a quarrel with her on silly pretext apart from pressurizing her to bring gold from her parents. Dharmasthala police, who registered the case, said that in the past too similar complaints were received against Mohan Gowda and he had been warned repeatedly to mend his ways.
