Mumbai, Oct 26: Doctors Hema Ahuja, Bhakti Mehare and Ankita Khandelwal, accused of abetting the suicide of Dr Payal Tadvi are allowed by the high court to travel out of the city provided they inform their itinerary to the Crime branch of Mumbai police.
The accused had filed an application before the court, through their lawyer Shailesh Kharat requesting permission to travel to their hometowns. Two of them had requested for permission to travel inside Maharashtra and the third in Madhya Pradesh for 21 days during Diwali.
The accused had stated that they will be readily available in future for the trial, there is no proof against them and they do not intend to run away from the law.
The accused doctors who were seniors of the deceased Tadvi were harassing her driving her to commit suicide in the room of her hostel on May 22. She had blamed the three doctors in her suicide note.
