BMC officials consider NEERI to tackle waste in Deonar

Mumbai, Nov 5: The National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) is being considered by BMC for the role of consultant with regards to the waste management at Deonar garbage dump.


The proposal will be presented at the civic body meeting on Wednesday.



The proposal for getting NEERI on board is to close down the concerned dumping ground. With the expertise of NEERI, BMC officials are expecting effective measures to manage the waste.
